Smoothbeam is the only clinically approved laser for the treatment of acne, which acts on the very cause of acne, i.e. the sebaceous glands. This prevents further occurrence of acne and at the same time reduces the skin wounds resulting from acne. Smoothbeam can also treat uneven skin. The method is non-invasive and is also used for minimizing the occurrences of acne scars, wrinkles and fine wrinkles. The laser energy is distributed throughout the surface of the skin and stimulates collagen production. The procedure takes 20 to 30 minutes and patients generally request a total of 4 to 6 procedures in the interval of three to five weeks. The treatment may cause redness which, however, disappears after one or two days.
