LIP Enlargement using the hyaluronic acid

Hyaluronic acid is a natural substance which naturally occurs in our bodies. It is located in the intercellular spaces of our skin, where it provides hydration and elasticity. However, with increasing age this substance decreases in our bodies. If your lips have lost their fullness or you want to model them to your liking, the hyaluronic acid can be injected into the intercellular spaces. The substance will fill the spaces in the dermis (skin layer), thereby increasing the volume of the lips and highlighting their contour.

What is the course of the procedure and what should one look out for?

The lip enlargement by hyaluronic acid is very safe. It is performed by injections using a very thin needle and takes place under local anaesthesia in order to make the procedure less painful. The lips may be slightly swollen after the procedure. It is necessary to avoid intense sunlight and strong frost for a few days after the procedure.

No more restrictions have to be observed after the procedure and one can return to normal daily activities. Over time, the substances in the skin slowly degrade and therefore their application has to be repeated after a certain time. The duration of the effective period varies. It usually ranges from 6 to 12 months, but the procedure can be repeated whenever needed.
