Hello, I had a Haemorrhoidal Artery Ligation Operation (HALO) last July, but my internal grade 3 hemorrhoid was not cured and is not worse. How different is the laser procedure you perform compared to HALO? May I ask if you accept non Czech speaking patients?

Dear Marten,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding your medical issue. As for the comparison of the two methods you mentioned, there are fundamental technical differences and each procedure addresses different aspects of the disease. HALO procedure is in fact more suitable for lower grade disease, like bleeding grade I-II haemorhoids, while LHP (laser haemorrhoidplasty, the one we do) is mainly intended for grade III and selected grade IV piles (the procedure can easily deal with grade I or II, but it is a little bit of an overkill). LHP can be considered slightly more invasive but still can be conveniently done in outpatient settings under local anaesthesia. And of course, we welcome non czech speaking persons. If you are interested in more detailed personal consultation our staff will be more then happy to schedule an appointment for you.
Best regards
